44.34 – Flam Paradiddle
These are the same as the last rudiment on the list, but we’re adding in a cheese for an additional thrill. The free/downstroke alley-oop diddle combo will be the ticket here.

That name rolls right of the tongue doesn’t it? These are a.k.a “FUBAR’s” FYI. We’re basically playing inverted flam taps, but with a second flam immediately following the first.
These are really fun as you get to whip into an accented diddle. Make sure your inverted flam taps are solid and that you have the finger control dialed in for the quick alley-oop free stroke/down stroke diddle.
It’s simply an accented diddle and they can get thrown around anywhere. A diddle has two beats, so an accented diddle should have two accents, the first will be a free stroke and the second a downstroke.
Yes, we already did inverted flam taps in the 12 Gateway Rudiment section, but here they are again in a triplet context! The “Moeller Whip & Stop” technique is once again in full effect so be as lazy as possible while you whip it.

The “double flam accent” is handy and will do wonders for your low end finger control & speed. It could be named “hand to hand pata-fla-fla’s,” but it seemed simpler and more user friendly to go this route.
